We are delighted to invite the Paraburdoo community to the inaugural Living Cultures Storytelling Session, presented by Estelle Ingie.
Sharing stories with the children of Paraburdoo
Estelle is Karimarra and belongs to the Yinhawangka language group, with ancestral lineage connected to Jarndunha.
Raised in Onslow by generations of strong women in her family, Estelle grew up listening to family stories and Dreaming stories passed down through generations.
She honours her ancestors and the resilience and knowledge they have passed on.

Living Cultures Storytelling Sessions
The Living Cultures Storytelling Sessions create opportunities for Yinhawangka Elders, knowledge holders and community members to share stories, knowledge, language, culture and connections to Country with children and future generations.
Sharing Knowledge
The sessions provide a space for stories, cultural knowledge and lived experience to be shared through storytelling.
Connecting Generations
Storytelling creates opportunities for children to listen, learn and connect with Yinhawangka culture and the people who carry this knowledge.

Everyone is invited to come along to the inaugural Living Cultures Storytelling Session with Estelle Ingie.
Interested in sharing a story?
The Living Cultures Program is also inviting Yinhawangka Elders, knowledge holders, community leaders and community members to express their interest in participating in future Storytelling Sessions.
Participants may share traditional family stories, cultural knowledge, oral histories or other stories suitable for children that reflect Yinhawangka culture, traditions, values and connections to Country.
