In May, members of the Yinhawangka Aboriginal Corporation team joined Rio Tinto representatives for a two-day familiarisation visit across the Paraburdoo and West Angelas mine sites.
The visit included site tours, conversations about ongoing operations, and opportunities for YAC and Rio Tinto teams to strengthen relationships and build a greater understanding of the work taking place across the region.
The team also visited rehabilitation areas managed through TIAD, where previously mined land is being regenerated using relocated mining soil and reseeding techniques to support the return of native vegetation.
