Yinhawangka Recording Workshops

Would you like to learn the media basics of capturing your stories on video?

We’re excited to announce a series of Yinhawangka Recording Workshops taking place this May. These hands-on sessions are designed for Yinhawangka members aged 14+ who want to learn practical media skills to help share, record, and preserve stories for future generations.

If that sounds like you, we encourage you to register early as places are limited.

Who can attend?

• Yinhawangka members and their families

• Ages 14+. Participants under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian

Families are warmly welcomed to join.

What you’ll learn

These practical workshops will give you the confidence to start recording high-quality video and audio. You’ll learn:

• How to use YAC’s professional recording equipment, including cameras and microphones (equipment available for hire)

• The basics of capturing clear, strong audio and video for storytelling and archiving

• Simple techniques for filming on your phone to achieve the best quality while on the move

Whether you’re recording family stories, community events, or personal projects, these skills will help you bring stories to life.
