A new chapter for Hayley Wickham
After five years with Yinhawangka Aboriginal Corporation, Hayley has officially begun a new role as Youth Centre Coordinator with Yinhawangka Foundation.
Hayley officially started in her new role on Monday, 24 August 2026. She brings five years of experience with Yinhawangka Aboriginal Corporation and a strong connection with the Paraburdoo community to the position.
Hayley and her family have lived in Paraburdoo for almost eight years. During that time, they have enjoyed getting to know local families and being part of the community.
A Ngāti Tūwharetoa and Ngāti Raukawa woman from Aotearoa New Zealand, Hayley says she and her family feel her family feel blessed and grateful to have had the opportunity to learn about Yinhawangka Culture and Country.

Creating the space together
Hayley is excited to help get the Youth Centre up and running again and create a relaxed, welcoming place where young people can connect, have fun and take part in activities they enjoy.

A little more about Hayley
Outside of work, Hayley loves travelling, learning about different cultures and trying weird and wonderful foods. One of her favourite places in the world is her marae back home, where she can spend time with her whānau.
Hayley is looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting more young people and families through her new role.
