Ronald Chubby

From Ranger to Ranger Coordinator

Ronald Chubby joined the Yinhawangka Ranger Program with a simple goal — to spend more time on Yinhawangka Country.

“I wanted to become a Yinhawangka Ranger so I could see more of the Country,” Ronald said.

Working as a Ranger last year gave Ronald the opportunity to visit places on Yinhawangka Country he hadn't been to before.

“It was good. I got to go out to some places that I haven't been to before on Yinhawangka Country.”

“I wasn't expecting to become the Ranger Coordinator. I just wanted to be one of the Rangers.”

Becoming Ranger Coordinator wasn't something Ronald had originally planned.

“Someone saw something in me and kind of convinced me to give it a go,” he said.

Now, as Yinhawangka Ranger Coordinator, Ronald is looking ahead to what the Ranger Program can become.

“I'm looking forward to seeing the Ranger Program grow and develop into something amazing so everyone can be proud of what the Rangers are doing for Yinhawangka Country.”

For Ronald, there's also a simple message he wants Yinhawangka Members to know about the team.

A message from Ron

“All I can say is that the Rangers are doing an amazing job around Yinhawangka Country.”
