Important message from the Board
The YAC Board is reaching out with an important update for members about a change in our leadership structure.
Given the upcoming conclusion of Kupa Teao’s current term as CEO, the Board has commenced progressing an external recruitment process to recruit a new CEO. Last Friday the Board made the decision that Kupa will not be returning to work in his capacity as CEO for the remainder of his current term. In the meantime, the YAC Board will appoint an interim person as a caretaker CEO, while it goes through the recruitment process. This will enable Kupa the time and space to look for his next role.
We express our significant appreciation for Kupa’s dedication to YAC and the Yinhawangka People.
The YAC Board is providing support to the YAC staff with the transition in leadership structure. YAC is an organisation blessed with dedicated, caring, and resilient team members, and whilst change brings uncertainty, we welcome the opportunity for improvement and growth. Our team members are an integral part of our journey forward.
We will be in contact again soon with further updates on the CEO role. The recruitment process will be comprehensive, seeking a leader who aligns with our vision, values, and the ambitious goals we have set for our future. We are dedicated to finding someone who will not only resonate with our YAC and Yinhawangka culture but also bring fresh perspectives and strategies to propel us forward.
