About the Opportunity
The Yinhawangka Foundation is seeking an experienced, values-led finance leader to join its senior leadership team.
Working closely with the CEO and Board, the Manager – Finance, Compliance & Governance will be a trusted adviser who strengthens financial sustainability, governance and compliance, and translates complex information into clear, practical recommendations.
This is an opportunity to bring strong financial and governance leadership to a growing Aboriginal organisation focused on positive outcomes for Yinhawangka people and community.

About the Role
The role leads the Foundation's finance, governance, compliance and risk functions, combining strategic advice with strong operational oversight to support responsible stewardship and long-term sustainability.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and long-term financial planning.
- Prepare financial, governance, risk and compliance advice for the CEO, Board and committees.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting and external audits.
- Manage funding agreements, grant acquittals and regulatory reporting.
- Maintain strong financial policies, internal controls and governance documentation.
- Lead strategic and operational risk management.
- Support Board and committee processes.
- Lead finance and corporate services staff and build strong stakeholder relationships.
About You
You are a highly organised finance leader with sound judgement, strong attention to detail and a calm, solutions-focused approach.
To be successful, you will bring:
- A CPA, CA or equivalent professional accounting qualification – mandatory.
- Senior financial leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of governance, audit, compliance, internal controls and risk management.
- Experience advising senior leaders and Boards.
- Strong financial modelling, reporting and scenario analysis skills.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience.
- A commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal people, communities and organisations.
